About me

My name is Jackson Loyd. I’m a senior at La Jolla High School. I plan on attending San Diego State’s Fowler College of Business next fall. In my academic career, I have always had a passion for mathematics over every other class. I’ve taken many of the most rigorous math courses, and I am currently taking Calculus. I maintained above a 4.00 GPA throughout my high school career, finishing my junior year with a 4.73.

I’ve been playing water polo for La Jolla United since the 5th grade and I played for La Jolla High’s water polo program all four years. I was given the honor of being captain for my senior year’s team that made history last November being the second team in school history to make the CIF Final after our victory over Bishops in the semi-final.

As for tutoring, I tutor my two younger sisters to whom math doesn’t come easy. However, with my methods and system, I was able to enhance their mastery of the content, test scores, and overall math grades.

All of the great math teachers that I’ve had used a similar hands-on learning style that I have incorporated into my private sessions.
